  1. These end-of-line options apply only to files that your Macintosh sends.
  2.  
  3. Timing delays prevent loss of data. Use them when the remote computer can't receive data as fast as your Macintosh is sending it and you can't change the baud rate.

  5. To specify an end-of-line character, choose an option from this pop-up menu. Before sending a file, be sure to choose the end-of-line character that the receiving application uses.

  7. Type the line length here.
  8.  
  9. To insert transmission delays between lines of text sent by your Macintosh, enter a number from 0 to 32,767 here. These values represent 60ths of a second.

  11. To insert transmission delays between characters sent by your Macintosh, enter a number from 0 to 32,767 here. These values represent 60ths of a second.

  13. When this box is checked, outgoing text contains lines no longer than the line length shown here. To change the line length, enter a number in the space provided. To send lines of text as is, click this checkbox.

  15. To set the length of lines in an outgoing file to no more than the line length shown here, click this checkbox. Otherwise, your Macintosh will send the file with the line lengths unchanged.

  17. A carriage return and a line feed. IBM PC-compatible applications use this end-of-line combination.

  19. A line feed. Some mainframe computer applications use this end-of-line character.
  20.  
  21. A carriage return. Macintosh applications use this end-of-line character.
